The 2018 Fort Cooper Days at Fort Cooper State Park will be held on March 17th & 18th. The first reenactment will be at 11 am with the second reenactment at 2 pm both days on shore of Lake Holathlikaha. Admission is $7 per adult, children 12 and under are free.
Visitors will be greeted by the sound of the cannon blasting as the reenactment takes you back in time to the Second Seminole War where General Mark Anthony Cooper will lead the charge with the First Georgia Battalion of Volunteers against the Seminoles warriors.
After the reenactment be sure to stop by both the military encampment and Seminole encampment to learn more about life back then. Delicious food, drinks and unique gifts will be available for purchase from the various vendors that are set up in the picnic area in the main park.
